Mutiny Wallet team is closing up shop. How is lightning going to work if these guys can’t stay alive. Right now scaling bitcoin is still not sorted. Especially non custodial.
they still can't stop Bittorrent filesharing (the decentralised, swarming, cryptographic security and error correcting, file sharing protocol which influenced the development of Bitcoin) .. so they have a cat in hell's chance of interfering with Bitcoin communication. All they can do is post sentries at the corporate fiat entry/exit points.

Mutiny Wallet is not reliable in my eyes. It's not stable in sending transactions and creating invoices, at least in my experience.

File sharing could have changed the world, but it was kneecapped, what make’s bitcoin different? Yes, people still file share, but it’s not common and comes with penalties, normal people don’t use it.
They don’t need to stop it, they just will increase the price of btc until transactions become unaffordable for people, they will have the majority of the supply and will be less and less used outside exchanges due the higher fees, that’s it bye bye anonymous btc

A few weeks ago, I watched a few minutes of a Senate hearing where Elizabeth Warren was questioning a military general about Bitcoin being used to finance North Korea’s nuclear weapons. You could see on the general’s face that he didn’t agree but also didn’t want to confront her. I can’t help but imagine Senator Warren in a future Senate hearing explaining how pizzas are being used to create QR codes that bad actors then use for money laundering and financing terrorism. Therefore, pizzas should be banned or regulated.

I’d like to understand how LN transactions work. I created a wallet in Mutiny and tried a Lightning transaction from Binance accout. It keeps failing reason: Network Busy. Any idea if this wallet isn’t supported in some way or am I doing it wrong? TY

You never said how much BTC you need to avoid federation?
I really would love a genuine answer and not a close minded ban… Bitcoin is the greatest store of value and that cannot be questioned, but what is the point of using a decentralised network if you need to centralise it to use as medium of exchange? I find going into extremes to be toxic behaviour, great examples are feminism, religions, vegans, politics or even bitcoin. We have a real decentralised, cheap, fast and scalable option called KAS that could work to destroy all of the scam ecosystem POS like Sol and Eth. Please keep an open mind like you did when you looked a the great project called bitcoin. The world is never going to stay still and we have to keep up.

I wonder how many lightning nodes are running on TOR. Bitcoin core supports running on TOR only. Good uptime also gets you a lot of connections. If you can spare the bandwidth, running a TOR relay with decent uptime and internet speed will also help mask specific services. TOR isn't perfect. But with large numbers of users comes more challenging censorship.
